What do i need to be a DJ?

i wanted to start making electronic music very much like Deadmau5. i wanted to know what is it that i need to start mixing, scratching, and what not? i already make electronic music without it, but i feel the need to do more than just make the music. i want to perform it and be able to make infinite variations of my music. any idea on what equipment i need to start?
