Charlie Sheen told a heckler, “I already got your money, dude!”?

Isn't that like our representatives? Once they get in, they have benefits and perks for life for themselves and their families? Why would they care if we re-elect them or not? What if the bennies/perks ended when they were voted out? Would they be more apt to keep their campaign promises?
