What did George Washington, Andrew Johnson, and Harry Truman have in common?

Is there anything aside from a military background? I already know about that. Aside from George Washington's obvious military background, Andrew Johnson was some kind of general in the civil war and Harry Truman was a colonel in WWI. Is that right? Is there anything else they had in common?
